Had a great day today Tuesday 1st March 2022 river 1.5 metres up at the start Had 3 barbel by 11.45 and then river rose 1/2 a metre and not had a bite for 2½ hours then another barbel. Two more casts then got snagged. So packed up back tomorrow. Best 8lb smaller one's 6 to 7lb. Lovely day's fishing the Wye.

4 Barbel

1 barbel 7lb 2 plus a decent chub. Slow day and the water felt cold although I didn't have a thermometer.

River in perfect condition. Struggled at first then found a few fish. Caught 2 really big Barbel and 2 nice chub on pellets.

2 Barbel, 2 Chub

River running fast and clearly been over the bank recently. Managed to find a slack and using feeder and bread had 3 Chub to 4lbs 7oz. Tried a few other swims Later in day but not a touch.

1 Chub between two Anglers in reasonable conditions, very disappointing. I believe the River is suffering badly due to the well documented pollution issues

The river was actually at a decent level, which surprised me, although the banks were still a bit treacherous. It's a great spot this for me, usually, however not today. Drew a blank.

0.7m on cilmery gauge. Found that a bit high for fly fishing. Caught a 4 pound chub trotting. Scenic peaceful spot. Nice to meet a landowner so passionate about the river.

Blank unfortunately, river was very high and barely fishable. Can imagine it would look like a different river with better conditions
