Lovely day with plenty of fish showing.

Awful weather today,torrential rain until about 2 pm . I only fished for about 2 hours but I knew it was pointless. Spent most of the day in the hut watching the river getting higher and dirtier. By the afternoon it was like mud with only 1" visibility !. Caught a tiny grayling early on and a salmon parr.

Rained all day. Banks treacherous. But 3 hard fighting barbel to 8 1/2 pounds.

Very wet and windy PF hooked a barbel but the hook pulled. Lucky escape with an eel falling off the hook before landing!

2 Chub

Fished in the rain all day with a slowly rising river.3 barbel up to 9 pound again and some decent chub. Will be back!

I fished two different days on this stretch , getting the two opposite extremes low water and a terrific flood two days later.
Spotted a few decent size trouts , but very rare fish in all the stretch .
In a beautiful and wonderful section like this ,you should see hundreds of little trouts rising in everywher , the trouts population is clearly not in good health , I coming from a place in which I grow fishing on mountain's rivers I know what I'm talking about .
First cause nowaday nobody is starving you should impose strictly and absolutely catch and release , it's inadmissible allow people take fish from a river in this conditions , then the river needs urgently stocked with fry trouts from the Usk trouts reproducers and Vibert eggs boxes .
The landlord is really a gentleman so please everybody , respect the rules and release all the fishes , no fish no future .

No fishing possible due to very heavy prior rainfall. Water coloured v. Fast flow, floatsom, trees etc.
