Barbel where on he feed through the morning, taking all 5 fish and losing 2. Barbel were between 7 and 8 and half pounds. Best chub was a 5 pounder. All taken on pellets. Canoe traffic was surprisingly light for a change. Snaggy swims here so bring plenty of feeders.

I spent a very enjoyable 5 hours upstream of the bridge and was able to fish most of the river with various casting techniques.
Caught a few on nymphs and most on a small black fly.
Half a dozen reasonable size.

Started from the lower end of the beat and worked my way up.
Not the easiest of rivers to navigate , you have to cross the river a few times to get to any sort of path the walk up. All part of the adventure I guess.
Good drop of rain previously pick up the sport , 7 fish C&R to euro nymph style . One later on with olive emerger.

Grabbed a quick hour and a half on the water, three nice Grayling (three more lost) all to dry flies on slow drifts, spread through the beat. Water was lowish and clear. Some larger rises river left out of my range.
