Despite relatively low water, the lower end of the beat was very active especially in the fast water.
Still struggling with the flats but will persist.

One of my favourite all time Usk beats.

Tricky gusty winds at times but a lovely day out with plenty of fish obliging but more lost than landed unfortunately. All fish caught on nymphs with the highlight of the day being a cracking fish of around 2lb which put up a great scrap in the current on light tackle.

River low. Fish very spooky. 3 small bt on dry fly. Challenging access. Dosn’t look like it’s fished often. Couldn’t get to angling centre area as the gate was padlocked and I did not have the combination code

On and off kind of day weather wise with a persistent strong wind for most of it! Good numbers of mayfly for most of the afternoon, water still very low and clear made for some challenging fishing, yet to see a coloured river this season! All fish caught on a Procter mayfly CDC.

Cloudy day with sunny intervals, variable downstream wind that was very strong at times.

Had a slight accident while walking to my preferred staring spot twisting my ankle, I wasn't as mobile as I am usually so didn't fish much of the beat.
