Had forgotten how lightening fast these fish take and boy do they chase around like lunatics when hooked!! Fabulous sport !!

A very warm and bright day. Managed to find the chub who took meat. Unfortunately no Barbel.

10 Chub

Not a touch, rolled meat for 3 hrs, then far bank gulley on feeder and pellet until 4pm. Didn’t see a fish roll. Very quiet. But lovely scenery.

Trotted for about an hr then went on feeder decided it was to hot and hit the pub.

2 an Lost 1 by the bank...missed few bites...only fished 12.30 untill 4

1 TROUT CAUGHT ON FIRST CAST USING BUBBLE FLOAT ON WORM. 2 PERCH CAUGHT AND RETURNED OFF THE BOTTOM USING WORM. TRIED SPINNING THROUGH PARTS OF DAY USING TASSY DEVILS. NO TAKES.

Another great day on this lovely beat. The barbel are much harder to catch since the chub apocalypse but we worked hard and had a few fish for our efforts. The path to the bottom swims is worse than ever, so bring good boots and be prepared to wade.

Thanks to Colin as always for his hard work in keeping the beat in such great condition. Absolutely no thanks at all to the angler who defecated in plain view in the end island swim, leaving us a delightful early morning find. I really hope you blanked.
