river up over 1 ft 6 which made for a challenging few hours.six around twelve inches with two at 17 inches

Hard going. Low clear river. Legered bread flake and feeder worked best

3 Chub

A very bright sunny but cold day along with a river that was relatively low and clear, meant we knew we were going to have a tough day's fishing. Sure enough that was the case with a trout about 1.5lb being the only action of the day, that said it was lovely to be out in such beautiful countryside.

1 Trout

Slow second day with only two fish coming right on dark, which was kind of what I expected in the conditions. Nothing massive but a nice day mixing the chub and the pike.

3 Chub, 3 Pike

No action until very late in the afternoon. River had been dead calm/quiet all day before. Fish taken on nymphs again. There were rises to a late afternoon hatch however.

2 Trout, 4 Grayling

A cold day which may have had an effect on the fish which were unusually scarce. Two small ones caught, one on a pink shrimp the other on a peeping caddis. Glad to get back to the car and warm up!

Targeting pike, but they weren't biting. Not a touch and saw no signs of fish.

7 Grayling

Despite river being low, clear and cold and weather bright and sunny, the chub fed steadily all day. Lost 3 fish as well, mainly due to incompetence!
