4 Chub to 4lb 10oz & 1 Barbel to 6lb 5oz on feeder and pellet.

1 Barbel, 4 Chub

Friday. Started fishing the parsons tree stream area had 3 chub to 4lb using pellet feeder. Hook baits meat and pellets. River low. Afternoon and evening fished Vanstone pool. Had 2 barbel one 5lb the other 9lb 14ozs.
Saturday. Fished the Rope area. No fish. Went to sleep instead. Early and late evening fished Parson's again baited 4 pegs and rotated them. Had two barbel one was 7lb 5ozs and the other 8lb 10ozs. River dropping same tactics as Friday. Lovely day. Note to self (bring float tackle for day time when low and bright.
All fish were caught in honour of Robert Hudson. He would of been the 2nd rod. Thank you to all at the Wye and Usk for providing us with the opportunity to enjoy the fishing and surroundings over 4yrs I have great memories of Backney, Wyebank, Courtfield, Middle Hill Court and where it all began Holme Lacy with Colin.

4 Barbel, 3 Chub, 1 Other

2 trout biggest 1 of about 7" both taken on gold head nymph. As a fairly new beginner and 1st time fishing small stream , although I found it frustrating getting tangled in the canopy :-) I will be back! Fun!

2 Trout

6 barbel, all on pellet river very low and clear. Had first fish 10.30am, the others between 4pm and 8pm, biggest fish 9lbs 4oz. Will return but not as often due to price increase.

8lb hen Salmon caught friday 28th June 2013 Craig Dhu Pool Glanwye Fisherman Bert Williams using a small tube fly. Brings the beat total to 4 so far!

Another big day. 9 barbel, all of 8lbs to 11lbs. I fished from 14.30pm to 10pm. Thanks WUF

9 Barbel

Rose two, missed both, very to rough underfoot, wading staff a lifesaver! Not many decent runs, disappointing.

Lovely views of otter when we arrived. Sadly, the fishing didn't match up to the early excitement. Failed spectacularly to find the barbel despite trying 10 or more swims. Caught some nice chub however with the best 5lbs 6oz.

1 Barbel, 12 Chub

Fished evening only. Two fish hooked and lost on very small Ally's Shrimp. One in the Island Pool came off at the bank as I was landing it, approx 15lbs. Second late in the Maddox, played for three or four mins then let go, 9 or 10 lbs. Two shad caught and returned.

Did not fish after booking, was offered greener pastures at Upper Bigswier!
