2 Trout

No salmon caught, but fish were obviously in the beat as one salmon (ca 10lb) rose in Cadora pool. Great beat - good access and helpful owner. Thanks!

Arrived about 7am, parked up and had a quick look at the river from the bridge. It was crystal clear did not see any fish from bridge on first inspection so went back to car to put normal slick bottom chest waders on, not felt studded so off I went back to the river all geared up. First step on rock and slipped over and almost broke my back. It was too slippery and dangerous for me to carry on so called it a day but still a nice location and will be back another day with better chest waders. This was my first time on this river with not much research done.

Trout - Mainly GRHE - 6 x 5inch, 6 x 5-7inch, 2 x 8-10inch and 1 x 11-13inch.
Grayling - GRHE & Czech nymph - 1 x 8-10inch and 1 x 11-13inch.

First time in Wales for discovery. No fish in dry fly, just one big brown trout seen and lost at striking.

Low water, no hatch, no real activities on the surface. Having said this, it is a beautiful streach. I enjoyed the day off on the river.

Two trout of 8 inches, both on GRHE. One caught downstream of the bridge, the other further up. Caught both fish in the morning so thought I was in for a good day but was unable to hook up again. Enjoyable day on this lovely beat.

Lovely place to fish unfortuately no fish caught. Water still very cold and nothing really moving or showing

Bit difficult to get ino fish some areas, as banks were steep and very slippery even with studded boots

As said lovely beat and will return in warmer weather

Battled up a beautiful little river with many lovely pools. Saw several decent trout. Caught a small Chubb and lost a nice brownie. Lovely day all in all. The only sadness was a lady farmer who got cross because we were on her land and should have stayed in the river! Good value day out.
