Phew, R ended today with 30 barbel and some lovely chub to 4lbs 2oz from Wyebank. Prob well over 120lb of barbel. The largest was just over 7lbs. They don't half pull your string in the fast flowing water. Pellet and ground bait working well. Used plenty of the stuff and casting on a regular basis. R went home very happy and with an aching arm. He will be back next year this time with his budding young fisherman lad. Happy Days

3 fish caught between two rods. All hard fighting rainbows taken on fly. All fish returned. Beautiful location despite the conditions. Will definitely return.

A strong blustery wind meant that I caught more leaves than fish but I did manage to catch 2 nice grayling and a 12oz trout on North Country Spiders. Rain sadly brought an enjoyable day to an early end.

Middle Hill Court is always challenging but holds good numbers of large barbel. It was great to see the work done on access to the swims, much safer and well appreciated, thanks. We had a good day with around a dozen barbel to 9lb 6oz and a sprinkling of chub to 4lb on pellet and feeder from several swims.

This was our first time on this venue and after walking the beat we we decided to fish the swims above Carey Islands. After a slow start the barbel eventually responded to the steady feed and we shared a catch of 20 barbel and 3 chub caught on a variety of baits. This is a wonderfull fishery in a peaceful isolated setting partly due to the difficlt access from the car parks to the river if you don't drive a 4x4. The upper car park and paths to the river need to be sign posted as it is easy to take the wrong path and end up in a thickly overgrown deadend track as we unfortunately did.

First of five days fishing on WUF waters. The river looked quite low but still fished well enough. We ended up with 3 barbel and 25 chub, all caught on pellets and boillies. All in all a very enjoyable day.

Too windy to do what I really wanted to do today which was floater fish for carp. Plenty of roach and perch on the float though and a lovely golden rudd.
