Two wbt, both 13 inches. One on tiniest gold head, other on pared down grey duster, size 16. Extremely hard fishing, with low water, ribbon weed and bottom blanket weed that regularly broke to the surface. Very little evidence of rising fish all day.

Disappointed to see that an earlier poster who pointed out the awkwardly placed barbed wire at entry point has been ignored - this wire is double stranded and at groin height. The owner should really have the courtesy to contain this for fishermen.

Salmon everywhere, jumping over the line 2 feet from the bank! All sightings were of coloured fish. Later on we caught 5 barbel and 2 chub from a really comfy swim down at the Rope Pool. Had an hour in the Vanstone but no joy. There really are a lot of options on this beat if you look around. Surprised to read negative reports of lack of swims - I counted at least 14 good ones from the top to the bottom of the stretch, not to mention the roving opportunities. I'll be back! Thanks WUF - lovely day out.

Low, clear and sunny until late afternoon. Very little fly and very few rising fish until late afternoon and evening. The evening rise was still going at 8.45 p.m. The fishing was really hard until mid-afternoon with just three grayling and three trout to show for my endeavours: had fish on olive and HE emergers and two on a PTN fished Kiwi style. Nothing on upstream nymphs. The rest of the day was altogether more fruitful and I finished with 24 grayling and seven trout - some rising fish and many risen and all on various HE emergers. Trout to 12" but most smaller, and some really nice grayling - I had five 14-15" fish, several of 11-13" and the others 8-10". All fish returned. A lovely day on a lovely bit of water.

Stunning beat. Very scenic and lots of varied water. River was very clear and was at 10" on the neighbouring gauge which was comfortable fishing. Struggled a bit under a hot sun and blue skies in the afternoon, but several grayling came to nymphs. In the evening the trout joined the party, first to nymphs and then a bit of an evening rise at about 8.30pm. I finished up with 7 grayling between 8" and 14" and 8 trout between 6" and 12", mostly on nymphs, with a few on dries at the end. No salmon seen.

Had a great day on Wyebank, fishing for barbel between myself and a friend we caught 21 barbel and over 20 chub all were caught on pellet bait using pva bags or feeders. Bites were on the first cast and continued throught the day, but did slow during late morning through until early afternoon. conditions were not the best with very clear lowish water levels and a bright sunny weather. Think you would clean up if conditions were spot on, certainly plenty of fish there!!

12 x trout 6-9 inches on Mini-Klinkhammer. Probably twice that in additional smaller fish and parr. I didn't see any larger fish, but there are a few deep holes at the top end, so they may well be there, as they certainly are on the lower GV beat. I'm not clear how long this beat is, but it takes about 4 hours to fish. A nice morning or afternoon on a very pretty stream in a beautiful valley. It does strike me that 4 vouchers, or perhaps even 3, would be pricing more in line with other similar beats on the passport scheme.
