Tough conditions wind and high water .It is a nice spot on the river but is small for 4 anglers as limited swims , really need a couple more swims cut in bottom section and one on top to make it a nice beat . We only caught one barbel 2.5 lbs and 3 chub all on meat and had a few lost fish .

1 trout spinning returned. The reservoir is set in a stunning surroundings but fishing access along the banks is very limited which is a shame.
I also noticed that the rules are not being followed 1x rod per angler. I noticed numerous anglers with alot more than one rod. And the use of powerbait is rife the disguarded tubs are all over the place.

First time at Taff Bargoed. Was tough going with Rainbows following every fly put in front of them but not fully committing. Eventually landed one to a white cats whiskers and then as the evening went on managed to land 4 in quick succession on an orange flash damsel. 5 in total. 4 returned.

Unfortunately there was a few lads using spinners at the top end of the lake. Has great potential if stricter measures could be put in place. However, I would return to fish again sometime.

River had risen overnight and was fast and heavily coloured. Fished the beach but eventually had to move when the water continued to rise. Fished meat and pellet with feeder all day, no bites. Could not drive down the track as too slippery.
