River still in flood, due to Storm Ami, alhough levels slowly dropping. Right bank fished better than left bank. Flow from above the Foy bridge hugged left bank making many swims unfishable in the conditons, mainly due to accessability. Slow day fishing, with one angler blanking. Thats fishing! Very quiet location, this time of year.

Beautiful day, river up in the morning and training through. Started top of the beat and found fish mid afternoon further down. 4 barbel to 9lbs 12 oz lost 2 unfortunately. River was carrying a bit of extra water and plenty of colour. Lovely beat, fish were in immaculate condition. Had a great day, as always.

Fished the wooded section, lots of snags.
Swims available limited by lack of bankside maintenance, a common theme for course anglers on Wye and Usk fisheries. 2 bites all day resulted in 2 barbel, 9lb and 4lb.
