Found the river up a few inches but running clear. The grayling were hard to find but the OOS trout were willing. Hooked two large grayling on nymphs and netted one below the run at the top of the beat.

Three of us fished. Again top half fished best 1 fish to dry, the rest nymphs and spiders. River came up and coloured around lunch but we still caught fish.

River a nice level. No rising fish seen.
1 trout to black hopper, 2 grayling to march brown spider.
3 trout, 3 grayling and one lost, all euro nymphing with gold head pink squirrel (point), silver head gasolina perdigon. Both flies successful.
One missed offer on the surface (dhe).

Not as much water as I remember from the last time I fished here, nothing rising so used a tiny gold head hare on the bottom and a klinkhammer on top and started getting tiny bites, just the one small grayling caught

River was at a reasonable height (1m on Erwood gauge), although would probably have been better for salmon a couple of days ago when the recent lift was peaking. Didn’t see any salmon but the trout and grayling were active. Caught a couple of fish over a pound. Well maintained beat - thank you to the owners.
