Late decision to fish based on Webcam river height.
River a little dirty so spinning with no joy but saw a small Grilse running mid afternoon. Early evening water clearer so fished the fly and took cock salmon on E.Drury stoats tail 10 , slightly colouring @ 35 inches long . Fish returned - any help guessing weight W U F please?
My best on fly and impossible without excellent infrastructure of the foundation. Many many thanks for a wonderful service.

***WUF Note*** A fish that measures 35" long, is estimated to be around 17lbs - congratulations and well done!

32 grayling size 9-18" cought on dry Adam's Irresistable (brown/black) #12 during the first 5h session, swiched to nymphs after break, we had further catches including over 10 brownies size 9-15" from the weirs. Low and clear water with fish rising very well. Very enjoyable day, will be back soon. All fish safety returned.

Bright and breezy day. A pretty beat with easy access and relatively simple wading given the low water level. Managed 12 grayling, mostly around the 12 inches mark, with 2 bigger specimens (largest 22"). Also landed 4 wbt, the largest a stunning 12" fish. All fish returned safely. A mixture of downstream spiders and upstream Klnk and dink. Partridge and Orange attracted 15 out of the 16 fish! Really enjoyed this beat as it offers a great variety of fishing along its mile or so course. Wonderful day, thank you WUF for your seamless admin.

What a wonderful afternoon/evenings fishing. Didn't start until 4.00pm as it was August and fairly warm. What a fantastic stretch for a mixture of fly fishing. Some nice fast flowing pool heads for a bit of down and across nymph/spider work, some deep holes for a bit of klink and dink and some nice flats for the dry fly. No sign of the trout, just not interested, but we had over 40 grayling and 10 salmon parr in four hours up to 1.5 lb. We were a bit worried that the beat might not be big enough for two of us but we could have spent the whole day here. A beautiful spot and would definitely visit again.

A day with a frequent blustery downstream wind until early evening. The rather sparse emergence of pale watery duns throughout much of the day seemed to inspire a few fish to rise, albeit not many. However, fish were, as a result, clearly in heads-up mode with 35-40 grayling and eight trout taken on the day. Most were non-rising fish moved by a pale-watery emerger, a small hare's ear emerger and latterly by one of Mark Roberts's bi-vis black midge shuttlecocks. Most of the grayling were of a standard ~9 inch year-class (clearly a successful spawning year), but two fish of 12 inches, four of 14 inches and two of 16 inches (around 1.5 lb), made for a rewarding day's sport. What a delightful beat this is!

Much to my surprise 1 fish @ c.3-4 lbs. I am pretty certain that this was a sea trout due to its' square tail. Anyway fish returned. Method spinner @ tail of Lady Alexander's catch.
Conditions good with a lot of good sized trout (1/2 - 1lb) about - some caught and looking as if they have been stocked?
Foundation service really good with e-mail booking easy and web cams enabling some assessment of water before "just turning up in hope".
