7 Grayling

8lb cock on a black and yellow willie gun and a 8lb hen on a black and yellow snaelda. River in great condition.

2 Salmon

River high at 2'6 on the gauge but running clear. One very acrobatic cock Salmon est. 7-8lbs landed from Lady Alexanders pool at 1430. Thank you.

River low felt we should have caught more, tried dry fly first as a few fish rising. Then changed to nymphs and caught.
A very pleasant beat.

Fly tipping in the lay by and did not pick up litter as requested as it contained wet wipes and face coverings.

3 Grayling

My grayling was caught on a PTN and my 8 oz trout on a shrimp pattern, both on the Abernant stream. RD caught in Alexander's pool using nymphs. Tidy beat, with good access, but heed the slippery rocks. Nice end to the trout season.

Fished for salmon by fly, despite low level (10"). Blank day for both of us

Four brown trout caught on spiders. One grayling caught on an experimental attempt at tight line nymphing. Cold downstream wind made the water feel warm in comparison.

4 Trout, 1 Grayling

Fished 8 till 5 . A foggy start and then unabated sunshine (yuck!). Water now cooling at 11 degrees. Some pale wateries from about 9 and some midge about during the day plus a few yellow mays and stonefly. No rising fish until after 12 . There weren't many, but what there were, stopped at about 2.30, with a few more showing about two hours later. Had the risers and other non-risers on Goran's Sedge and a small HE emerger. Had a couple of the ladies and the 12" trout on heavy bugs and a tiny PW nymph fished duo. Grayling 10-15 inches. Abernant is a great spot to fish and many thanks to the owner for making access up the top half of the beat so safe and tangle-free!
