Inexperienced kayakers spooked fish

3/4 small chub as well but not really a proper one

Great stretch for chub

River low, started with meat and feeder, caught chub of around 4lbs. Spent last hour on lures for Perch, caught 4 with largest 2.5lbs

Thought I’d have another session here after last week. Not as prolific as previously even though conditions were no different also the same tactics and bait but it wasn’t until I made a few minor changes that I started to get bites. Chub to big 4’s and barbel to big 8’s so ended up a good day. River still painfully low . I remember when my local rivers used to be like this

Great day fishing for chub on the stick float, a surprise 2lb perch also. Lovely

Great session at Lower Canon after not being here for a number of years. Weather muggy part cloudy. River low and clear . Fished a couple of swims and took the fish on a variety of baits. Usual visitors opposite in the weir gardens and the canoeists but that all quietened down later in the day. Barbel to 8lb+ chub to 4lb+ all fish well rested before returned and the majority were in immaculate condition . Many thanks WUF

Some lovely chub to 5lb 3oz, difficult to pick the clearer spots amongst the weed. Barbel where found at the back of the first swim but refused to feed.
