First Wye Barbel and first Wye Chub on my first time fishing the Wye. The river was just perfect although did loss a fair bit of tackle in the first swim but after a chat with someone that knows the river things were ok. Both fish in great condition
Looking forward to next visit

1 Barbel, 1 Chub

Second day on the same venue, pretty much a repeat of yesterday’s report. Many thanks for Dave’s help with our trip.

10 Barbel, 11 Chub

River fairly low but heavily coloured,brown algae? Got fish from all over the stretch moving all the time for odd fish here and there but a great time was had as usual, feeder fished baits taking most.

10 barbel between 6 & 8lbs, river level rising during the day.

First time on this beat and we loved it, but we searched day for the barbel in the pouring rain and did not find them until dusk. Just managed to catch one before we had to go home. We will be back though. Thank you for a lovely day.

Began fishing around 3pm and fished through to 10pm, but without success. River looked good nice height and colour. We both lost quite a lot of tackle on snags probably as a result of the rubbish that must have been washed down in the heavy floods.

A lovely sunny spring like day on the river. Two Barbel caught on paste.

Fish all fell to swimfeeder with pellet. River falling but still high. Cold wind and strong gusts.
