No fish caught.

Methods used: salmon flies and some spinning.

Brown trout: 12 inches.

Very well maintained fishery. Straightforward booking system.

Good river level and clarity. 2 salmon seen in the Vanstone but not tempted.

River in good flow and clear but no sign of a salmon.

Nice part of the river but very difficult conditions with snow and very low temperatures. Still, great to be back on the river

Lovely day fishing but unfortunately no catch.

A nice day fishing some lovely fly water, no fish but enjoyable nevertheless, I'm sure I'll be back. (Thanks to Mick and Mark D for their kind guidance on where to fish as well!).

Lovely spring conditions,water at nice height and clear but no sign of fish at all.

First day out since Lockdown and it was good to be back at Goodrich. The river was fining down and a bit higher than I would have liked, although wading was possible in places (with care). Caught two chub on the fly, the largest around 3.5 to 4lb. Not the salmon I was hoping for, but it saved a blank.
