Lovely beat with some nice fly water. Some slow water in some pools that really needs fly to be stripped through. Wading was fairly easy for most accessible pools although got deep in areas which meant you had to back up to get out. Although there was accessible paths / steps down to water I don't think there was enough of these as large sections of river were inaccessible. Would have been nice to have pool name marker posts to help anglers know where they are fishing. Didn't see or touch a salmon all day but this didn't spoil the experience. Sun was blazing down and made for lovely day outdoors. A large amount of canoes on the water which disrupted things a little but they were courteous and moved through quickly.
I did loose a royal blue morrell foam fly box with double and aluminium tubes in. Lost around the Maddox pool. If anyone finds this I'd be very grateful if they could contact the foundation and arrange its return. Postage and small reward will be paid. Back on Goodrich next month hoping for change of luck and weather.

A very nice beat with lots of excellent streamy fly water. The ghillie- Mick Sutton was extremely helpful and pointed out the best lies and places to fish. We didn't see any fish but had a very pleasant day and hope more fish are around next time we fish .

Booked fishing on Goodrich court after reading it was classic fly fishing water, and I was not disappointed with the quality of the fishery. From entering the gate to the car park, it was a delight to see pheasant, partridge and wild hares scattering around. There was no gillie available on the day so we just covered as much water as possible in 11 hours, we did manage to cover all pools except the cottage pool, and we did see 5 salmon in deep water on Vanstone pool but could not tempt them to the fly. Overall an enjoyable trip with my father.
