Lovely day, several salmon seen jumping. Two very close by in the Vanstone pool. None caught though. Reasonable number of canoeists but they didn't cause any issues and were all polite. Banks very overgrown towards the top of the beat, not a major issue though.

River was fairly low. Access quite difficult. Some lovely fly water though. I did not see any signs of a fish although I did catch a wild brown trout.

No fish caught of any species. Plenty of canoeists though. River was quite low and slow flowing. It became impossible to fish comfortably on Saturday afternoon due to the number of canoeists.
I do sometimes wonder if the fishing beats are ever inspected by The Wye & Usk Foundation as some of the information given is contrary to the actuality of the fishing on arrival or thereafter. I am not specifically talking about this beat either.
WUF note - Unfortunately we cannot continually visit the 180 miles of fishing on offer on a regular basis and rely on anglers feedback to highlight any issues or inaccuracies printed in the beat description and instructions.

Fishing:Salmon

No fish caught but one seen jumping twice at the junction of the Maddox & Corner Tree pools maybe 5-6lb, could not tempt it though. Tried various flies, Cascade, Ally's Shrimp, Wille Gunn, to no avail. River was easily wadeable but conditions were far too bright but a very enjoyable day all the same.
Booking process very easy, staff in the office very friendly & helpful.

Conditions were totally against us - hot, bright sunshine and many canoeists. Still, first time fishing Goodrich and sure it would be a lovely beat in the right conditions. Saw a couple of resident fish show in the Vanstone but that was it.
