Great day on the river with my son. We didn’t get onto the water until midday, so it was a slow start with very little surface activity. We fished dry-dropper setups throughout the early part of the day, but none of us had any takers. Around 4:00 pm, the insect hatches became much more prolific, and the river really started to come alive. From then on, we both connected with some good fish on the dry fly . A special thanks once again to the owners, who stopped by to see how we were getting on and kindly shared some local knowledge and advice on where the evening fishing was likely to be at its best. Their guidance was much appreciated and certainly helped make the day even more enjoyable.

4 of us fishing and had a lovely day. A few fish rising and most fish taken off the top with Quill Gordon, sedge and Griffiths Gnat.

Main road was closed due to local fires, so took me a while to navigate the back roads to get here.
Cooler day than we have had for a while, some welcome cloud and occ sun.
Plenty of fish to be had here, but I found very few of them... enjoyable all the same.

Wonderfully day on the water. River temp around 16.5. 6 Grayling to the net on a combination of methods, nymph earlier in the day and dry's later in the evening. Thanks to Shaun and Rachael for the advice on how to tackle the evening rise.

No catches to report, water very low .

I fished euro nymph mono dual dry dry and dropper. All but one Grayling were on dry. The water is low n oxygen so the fish were in tbe bigger pools. I didn’t see or catch any in the pockets or skinny water.. Plenty of rises in the calmer pool sections. There was a lot of foamy stuff on the water. Concerning…
that was not normal !!

The river is still very low and very clear, the catching windows today were between 9 and 11:00 in the morning on nymphs and between 7 and 9:00 in the evening on dry

Great day with some nice fish. Scenery amazing and the Kites and Buzzards wheeling above provide the soundtrack.
