Overnight rain but water fairly steady at 9" on Rhayader gauge. Both grayling and trout to 14". Little rising though pale wateries hatching and a few stone flies and sedge about. Few trout on dry Elk hair sedge fished blind. Grayling and other trout on nymph. Beautiful water, slippery bed rock.

Two grayling taken on a wet fly and safely returned. Hard going though on a beautiful beat, with few rises.

2 Grayling

Fished here Yesterday with Shaun, and as his guests. Shaun started early with the Salmon rod, no Salmon this time but he did get 4 trout.
T.B. fished the French leader, and took a good number of both trout and grayling. When fish started rising regularly, we all switched to dries, and from then until the end of the day we took a good mix of trout and grayling. This has to be my favourite beat on the upper river, and rarely disappoints.

No fish caught - 1 take

Fished most of the day for salmon but 7 trout caught on the Russian golden killer size 3. 1 trout and all grayling on dry flies, approx 2 hours spent on the dry fly.

River running relatively high and a blustery wind made matters interesting. No sign of WBT. All Grayling in very good condition. One my PB of around 1.75 lb. All caught on gold hare nymph. No rises.

Very hot and humid. No fly. No rises. Water up a little, 1ft 4ins on Rhayader gauge and peaty.

Very hot and humid. Water peaty. 1ft 4ins on Rhayader gauge. No fly and no rising fish.
