Water level seemed quite low, but a lovely couple of hours in the afternoon. 3 of the fish on dry fly (sedge) including 2 reasonably sized. Would probably try the lower beat next time, as the water looked a bit more interesting from the bridge.

Just got out of the water... My first day on river Wye... I have been a fly fisherman for over 25 years... but today... Today I got a good spanking... Saw no fish... Fished the duo from the bridge upstream... nyphs and wet flies on the way back... Changed over 30 flies... Spent a total of 7 hours on the water. NOTHING! The river looked perfect... maybe a little low... Maybe I am not just good enough. Anyway... Superb scenery. Will be back for revenge. ????

One nice fish of about 14 inches caught on a size 14 Caddis and safely returned. A bright day (but with some drizzle to mitigate) and very low water. Lovely condition fish caught on a self-tied fly using a self-made split cane rod under difficult conditions, it doesn't get any more satisfying than that.

Great stretch of river with a number of decent trout seen along the middle and lower section. Bright day with river levels good and clear water. No luck with dry or wet fly patterns.

Lovely stretch of river to be out on. Saw a handful of sizeable trout. Sadly they didn’t want to be caught though.

Very clear water and quite low considering recent heavy rain. Tried various techniques for 6 hours, but not a sign of a fish. The most promising looking bit where the small river joins towards the top of the beat is not included for some reason.

The water levels were very low, probably a different part of the river would have been better.
