Lovely beat, 5 trout on a PTN all coming from Bridge Pool. Fished from 1200-1700, fished the whole beat as never visited before, will return once I figure out how to fish deep pools.

5 Trout

Caught several large Grayling, all on nymphs. Morning was slow but fishing improved when it started to rain.

2 Trout, 5 Grayling

Warm day, all caught by JD in the quicker water on nymphs.

2 Trout, 4 Grayling

3 trout to 14 inches. Almost no rise, and no action on nymphs, but spiders (and late-evening sedge) worked to an extent. Good flow of water (dam release?), and very slippery rocks!

Lovely beat but water quite high and difficult wading. Very few rising fish and fish caught on spiders.

Cloudy with showers at start of day, finished in bright sunshine. Lovely beat, lots of different water. I don't think I made the best of it today - some days are like that I guess.
All caught on nymphs.

Very cold northerly wind. No fly life. Both fish euro nymphing. Best 2lb4oz

Stunning beat with some lovely pools to fish. Fish rising from 1100 - 1600.
1 x out of season Grayling caught and returned.

1 Grayling

Water was high but falling, weather wasn't great. The beat is gorgeous and very fishy looking, in better conditions I'd be confident of a good day! All fish caught nymphing using heavy tungsten to get right down. Purple duracell seemed to do the trick. One of the grayling was around 2lb, rest of fish all around 1lb

2 Trout, 2 Grayling

River looked good and was dropping steadily but the water was quite cold. No luck; however, it was a lovely day in very beautiful spot. Fished with floating line and a fairly dense polyleader and tried a few tubes and flies sized 8 - 4. Had a red kite flying above me for a time, which was great to see.
