Dangerous banks with the wet conditions, there are no proper swims with steps, so you could easily fall in! Also very difficult access by car, we had to push ours up the hill! I wouldn't advise fishing this beat in the wet unless you own a 4x4.
Fishing pellets and boilies for 3 barbel and one chub (slow going for the conditions). Another 6 other anglers fishing the opposite bank on the day made it hard to move! Not the best beat I've fished.

Decent days fishing. Hadn’t realised when booking that is was opposite the Bishopswood day ticket stretch but even with muddy banks and anglers on the far side there were still plenty of places to fish. We managed to get up and down the track and through the field but wouldn’t have wanted to do it without a 4x4. Only bad bit of the day was that we were held on the road down to the fishery for over an hour because the army were doing some sort of training on the road to the YHA and had abandoned their vehicles all over the place blocking our way through entirely.

4 barbel up to 8lb 13oz. All fell to meat in nearside slacks. Decided to park at the top of the hill, the walk back up the hill laden with gear wasn't too much fun!

River up, rising and coloured but perfect conditions. A lovely beat. Decided to walk down after reading previous reports of difficulty getting back up in a car. Walk back up hill is hard work! Fish falling to pellet and meat, and some of the best barbel caught from the Wye. Will be back in summer.

A rather soggy day, but still good fun even though the fish were quite difficult to find. We decided not to take the car down the hill today, so we were faced with a tough walk in and out, but it taught us to travel light!

Another tough day with high water levels, but we managed a couple of our targeted species. The mud at the bottom of the track down to the fishery provided us with a sporting end to the day getting our car back up.
