Started fishing in the wood section with little success so we moved to the meadow, much more flow in this area. All fish to meat and pellet, 10lb+ barbel the highlight of the day.

Arrived later than planned so only had a few hours. Fishing for barbel and chub but failed to catch. Few bites but overall very quiet. Stunning surroundings however.

First visit to this picturesque venue, limited swims at upper end, was surprised with part of this fishery being "double bank fishing .("Lower Bishopswood" beat opposite side of river by car park at £10 daily ). Result ; three barbel on meat below top crib 2lb-5lb -9lb, two chub at smaller crib 5lb- 4lb on pellet

Booking Office Note: This fishery is a single bank fishery, as described in the beat notes. This does mean that the opposite bank might indeed have other anglers on it, which applies to all single bank fisheries.

Another new stretch, a little disappointing , not that many swims. The river probably needed some rain.
All fish fell to one rod.

A cracking two days . The beat looked stunning with the Autumnal colours starting to show , along with frequent flypasts from Kingfishers . We fished four of the swims catching Barbel in three of them . In total we landed 8 barbel to 9lbs 3oz with a number of 7lbers , and a cracking Chub at 5lbs 13ozs alongside two minnows ????. The Deer in the meadow late evening were the icing on the cake .

Tough day at Thomas wood , very limited swims and the ones that are there quite steep and slippy .
Only 1 chub caught all day , more access to the river would make this a nice beat .

3 lovely Barbel caught again today by Steve Twine. One about 5lb, one about 6lb and one about 9lb. One delighted fisherman. Fishing hair rig, guru, with sliding cage feeder, hook bate spiced luncheon meat. River calmer today and apx 15ft lower. Best regards.
