Day two of are trip on the wye very first time on this beat set in some very lovely surroundings the fishing turn out good as we were unsure what to expect a very annoying side to this beat is the fact WHEN it get too around 2ish is the LOCALS COME OUT TOPLAY so putting to end of any change of continuing To fish the island and the other little annoying thing was the fact two chaps turn thinking that they can fish here as well whit out paying for it but they where soon on they way and 4x4 is a very big Advantage as the hill is very very steep but we said we will return.

Very warm day but found the fish feeding and took Barbel to 9lb 9 and chub between 2 and 4lb. An eel on pellet, which was a first. Heavy river traffic all day and evening with swimmers, canoes, paddle-boards, inflatables, dogs, babies. All friendly, but eventually the sport died with barely a sniff after 5pm.

Second visit this week ended with 7 chub all around the same size good quality chub and enjoyable.
Again though looked like it was either poached at night as swim had evidence of a fire/BBQ meat containers left and a pile of bottles and beer cans.
Around 11 o’clock it became like the M25 of canoes but have to say it don’t effect the fishing apart from the odd clueless person being to close in or asking for cigarettes.
Still enjoyed my days fishing just think it needs more bailiffs activity or they will destroy the wye/fishery.
