Yes another good evening. Can’t fish during day because of canoes . They are awful with such bad behaviour and lack of respect for anglers. So 4-30 pm is the time to miss them
3 lbs and 7 lbs barbel . Chub to 3 lbs eels to 2 lbs

But I would not fish it again , that hill has to steep an incline and not worth the risk of getting stuck . Need 4 x 4 to feel safe
To get up it . Shame .

Conditions picked up had 1 barbel then all the canoeists started coming down which just killed the fishing completely they don’t have any consideration for anglers screaming shouting going through lines/swims jumping out of the canoes etc just an absolute bizmel you couldn’t even cast in, waste of time really & travel

Fantastic days fishing, 6 Chub with biggest at 4.5lbs and 3 Barbel two 5lbs and one 9.2lbs, the other was a small Eel. River was vibrant with canoes, paddle boards and swimmers, which killed the fishing midday and afternoon. Recommend early fishing!

Thank you to the two members that provided some entertaining and insightful discussions.

Not a bad day plenty of chub to keep ya occupied, canoes we’re ok but a big group of kids swimming and spinning in the river all day, pestering to buy spinners to which we said no and even asking to jump on a blokes canoe to go through the rapids.
Usual wye in the summer not many swims and overgrown.

A wet, cold and snowy day made good by a few bites and a tidy 9lb 8oz barbel and a 1lb 6oz grayling. A lovely beat with every type of swim you could ask for when barbel fishing. The only downside being the hill you need to go down (and back up). Please bear in mind that if you don’t have a 4x4 vehicle you will struggle to get down and back up safely in wet conditions no ifs or buts you will struggle. This is no criticism of the WUF or the land owner just and observation
