The day was very warm and bright attracting a number of swimmers into the river. Fishing was hard through the day and we only managed 9 chub between us. All were between 3 and 4 lbs.

Fish caught on a variety of ledgered baits in fast water.Pellets, luncheon meat and polish sausage all took fish.
Perfect weather conditions today -cloudy, with rain. The river looks better than it did this time last year although there is still algae evident on the gravel bed.
All barbel and chub were between 3 and 5lb.
Good to see plenty of Birdlife including a Dipper and Kingfisher . Only 3 canoes all afternoon ( the rain helped!).
