Went last week and river far to low for barbel, very concerned for the welfare of the fish so i didnt go.

Only fished for a short period today. Water low and weather sunny. No bites from a couple of swims.

First time here , wonderful scenery driving through the Courtfield estate, lots of water to cover, I spent an hour just walking the beat scoping it out, The fishing was steady throughout the evening fished from 4pm to 10 great day , can't wait to come back

The river was too low,

River low and weather hot. Rain urgently required!

Fished below shut stream in the faster water. Very low conditions and sunny. Struggled all day to get a bite. on pellet and boilies. Only one barbel less than a pound. One fisherman upstream on opposite bank had several barbel.

Only fished a couple of hours very early before the sun got too hot. A great stretch of the river but no fish caught.
