River is now running pretty low. Decent fishing in the morning, using French leader technique. Switch to dry in the afternoon, just few graylings. No activity or fly life at all.

Lovely day for fishing, warm and cloudy but very little fish activity seen. Fished NZ style and rose three fish but saw only one other rise. Caught three decent fish 1/2 to 3/4 pound keeping one. Fish caught on either an Adams parachute or tungsten headed nymph. River very low but signs of it having been higher recently, ie wet weed on the bedrock.

Having missed the majority of this seasons fishing, due to the unforeseen, it was good to be out on the river again. Started at 8.30 and picked up the two Grayling fairly quickly fishing the fast water at the head of pools. 12” and 10” both to # 16 para Adams. The trout were all small the biggest 8” and still with the Adams. The Irfon was 27” on the Cilmery gauge and the fish sluggish and very cautious.
Tough going and finished at 2pm.

Fished from 9:30 to 14:00. Weather mostly overcast with the odd drizzly shower.
Very little surface movement but had success with a nymph setup, and had most fish on a beaded caddis including one belting fish of around 2lb, a PB for me. Missed just as many as I caught.
Fantastic best, stunning scenery.

Hot and sunny, very low water. Most of the rising fish were blowing bubbles and were grayling. This a very quiet and beautiful beat but fishing was tough.

This is a beautiful beat with good parking and easy access. In the first hour we both had fish. One Brown Trout and one Grayling, both to heavy nymphs and from deeper, swifter water. However, that early promise wasn’t sustained. The river was surprisingly low and running clear. The day was bright and warm. Plenty of insect life but very few fish were seen feeding. Between us we tried dries big and small, nymphs at various depths and teams of wets. During the rest of the day two more Trout were winkled out. One large Grayling and two further Trout wriggled off before being netted. A tough and rather frustrating day - but that’s fishing.

A glorious day on a lovely stretch of river that I have previously only fished for grayling, but there are plenty of fesity trout too. Quite a bit of fly life around in in the early afternoon and a few rising fish, so two or three caught on dries the rest on a GRHE nymph. River very low. Wading can be tricky in places. Rock is not slippery, just slabs of bedrock with awkward steps, but the strata helps create the deep gutters that stay cool in low flows so can't complain. The trout seem to like the gutters.

river level still decent, but fishes extremely spooky. 3 graylings ad 1 brown trout caught with French leader fishing the deepest pools, and 2 grayling caught on a dry around 11am. from then on no more fishes have been raising

Very hot and very sunny with fish very hard to find. Thought I’d avoided a blank with a decent size grayling at the bottom of the beat but he/she dived under a ledge and broke me.
