Lost 2 barbel to snags. Tim fished upstream a bit & had 7 barbel to over 8lbs. & chub. No snags lol. Lovely beat though.

River had come up and was in full spate. Had to sit at top of the bank watching huge amounts of trees and debris float past.

You really need to be VERY mobile to fish this stretch. Far too much of it is unreachable which is a shame because its a beautiful area with some good looking water.

Great days fishing had to work for it mind you, started out in first swim for a few hrs and struggled moved 100 yards upstream and couldn’t keep the rod in the water.
All fish on feeder and B Bomb ground bait, catching on meat, pellet, and pandemic boilies.
Biggest barbel 10-11 average of around 7lb all chub lovely sizes of around 3 to nearly 5.also 3 eels overall a fantastic days fishing in a lovely place.

Although I only caught one fish, a barbel 6 lb 9 oz, I had a cracking day on this lovely fishery. I had to stop early to celebrate my son’s birthday which I totally forgot when booking the day ticket. Lesson learned ????

River wasn’t to high but very coloured, as I only like trotting for barbel and chub did make it tricky but still a enjoyable day
