Only one fish moved and one other seen, conditions were perfect but pretty obvious that the local Otter & mink population have been dining well. An abundance of Spraint showing signal crayfish predominance but almost certainly fish stocks are affected heavily at present.

My favourite beat. 10 grayling, 2 trout all caught on nymphs, my version of a hares ear and a dark knight. River was perfect, gin clear and just the right depth. KM

All fish on weighted nymphs, several also lost. A few hatches during the day but only say one rise.

River full light grey/green. Only fished for an hour or so. 2 trout about 10", Both gates down at the bottom of the cottage garden.

A few hours. Tricky to find slow enough water from the banks as river pushing through but managed to find all fish in part of one pool. Grayling 8-10 inches

An enjoyable session . Over cast and close to freezing point. River looked at ideal levels and a tinge of colour.
Trotted maggot. Bites were had in almost every swim. I had company for most of the day in the form of a friendly, hungry robin.
All small fish- largest was a Grayling of about 8 oz.
