Fished the Fly in very good weather and river conditions, however, the beat has limited fly water and access is neglected. The Bank track is considerably overgrown. Nothing caught, Nothing seen.

Fished all day no joy river at a good height for this beat. Saw one stale fish in Cadora stream.

Such a wonderful day with fish seen along the beat but sadly not on the end of my line. Special thanks to the owners who I had the pleasure of meeting and for the loan of a pair of waders (getting up at 3am has its dangers like forgetting essential equipment!). I’m also very grateful for the time given to show me the lies, invaluable information that will one day soon achieve the success I seek. So to this beautiful beat I know I’ll return soon and trusting I don’t forget anything else...my first salmon will be caught. Hopefully.

13 lbs stale hen prior to river rising. Also late report of 12lb cock fish on 1st of. October

10lbs fairly clean hen fish.

Nothing caught. Yet to catch a salmon after about 12 sessions. Must be doing something wrong, or is this not unusual.

8lbs stale cock fish. Also 5lbs to Emlyn Davies on5/9

10 lbs & 4 lbs stale cock fish. Also late report of 4 lb fish on mepps to Emlyn Davies on 22August.
