We started fishing on the morning of the day 17th of September weather was fair and dry with the Sun rising to lift the morning mist one catch was missed about 8 o’clock then it went dead to about 11 o’clock The first fish was a chub. Then the rest of the day was slow fishing started picking up at about 5 o’clock. More bites and more catches. All chub.the fish was in good condition. 7 o’clock dusk I landed a barbel. 7 lb 9 oz . On the Sunday we started fishing slightly later and finished at 5 o’clock through the day we was landing at a decent size 3lb Plus. The water level looks fine but apparently one of the local residents said the level was low .? Just like to say that the fishing was a good experience as it always is every year and I am looking forward to attending next year just like to thank the staff at fishing passport x

Only one angler fished. Lots of very small chub from Lucky rock but only 3 decent fish. And one barbel. Salmon angler fished thru the pool but caught nothing (no surprise there)

The river was in good nick after recent rains. Another very pleasant if not abundant day on this familiar beat. Brought a mate along who was looking to land his first ever barbel and I thought this would be a banker. He didn't bank his barbel but he did have a good day full of Chub and a very healthy looking Eel.
There were countless salmon leaps throughout the afternoon and not small fish, which was pleasing to witness. Also it was encouraging to find among the familiar rocky snags a number of retrieves brought in some healthy looking weed which has been noticeable by its absence on the Wye.

Not able to make the long walk over Heart Attack hill so fished by the Sewage Farm. Anglers on the opposite bank casting across. One nice barbel at dusk.

A very reasonable day despite the biblical rain storms. The barbel were a good size. All around the 7 - 8 lbs.
