Tried hard in the faster water on both float and feeder but fish not having it, plenty around showing but not feeding.

Another tough day in the baking sun, careful feeding in the channels between the streamer weed accounted for 4 barbel between 5 and 8lb, just upstream of the island

First time on this beat this season , glad to be back , as you'd expect the river was extremely low after this dry summer we're having , so was expecting a tough day .
Was very happy to catch what I did , lost a couple to ! Fished from 3pm to 9:30pm , great day , lots of sunshine , wildlife and a few fish in the net .

Water low and clear. We did an interesting side by side comparison of pva bags and pellet feeder- the bags caught twice the number of fish in the low water.
One lovely fish stalked from under the feet pool and the bottom of the beat. Lovely scenery and day out as always.
