Another scorcher of a day with unbroken sunshine, river low slow and clear. I didn't get going until late morning so was not expecting any action until the sun was down in the evening, however the chub and barbel fed throughout the day. Feeder tactics again doing the business. River needs a bit of fresh rain water to liven it up, but it is a beautiful place to fish, very peaceful and even the canoes behaved (although the ''stand up and paddle'' trio who came through, one of which clearly had a skinful and enjoyed falling in a few times where I was fishing, didn't ruin the day). The barbel and chub were of average size and nothing really note-worthy.

Another very hot and sunny day. Chub were active all day especially from 6pm onward when it was a fish a chuck. Although I've report 16, it might have been more because quite frankly I lost count. Generally the chub were a good size with a high percentage 4lb+. On the barbel front, had a good fish early afternoon (low 9's) and a smaller fish around 4lb during the late chub rush.

First time on this beat, conditions were not ideal with blue skies and high temperatures. Fish came throughout the day to pellet feeder and trotted meat. Will definitely return when water levels are higher. Yet another stunning and peaceful stretch of the river Wye which is a credit to WUF for enabling access.

Cracking beat with good access through fields. Loads of places to explore and different swims all the way along. Fished all day roughly catching every half hour or so. An absolute must and a credit to whoever owns this beat. Thanks for a great days fishing I thoroughly enjoyed it.

One of the most picturesque W&UF beats and always a pleasure to fish The Creel. River very low but still managed to locate a few fish, including a 3 lbs eel on rolled luncheon meat...

Enjoyable session on this stretch tonight for just a few hours. Managed numerous chub and a decent barbel all to the touch ledger method.

A beautiful stretch of water overlooked by a very pretty church. Baited up 3 swims along the far bank trees and let them "soak" for a good hour whilst setting up and eating lunch. First chuck, a barbel of over 7 pounds. Second chuck, another of 6 pounds, followed by nothing for a hour. Moved to one of the other swims and had 4 chub to around 2 pounds before again, that swim died. Not a tap from the third swim. Rebooted the first and second swims whilst walking below the Rapids for a spot of stick and pin fishing. With bread flake on a size 10, third run through a chub of around 3 pounds fell in the very fast, boiling water, taking nearly 10 minutes to come in due to the strong flow. Several more fish fell to the same method, all over 2 pounds and fighting like the devil in the strong flow. What a way to catch fin perfect fish in a wonderful location. The best workout my stick/pin outfit as ever had. Eventually returned to the first barbel peg and fished to last light, with only one proper bite, leading to a snapped hook length after only a few seconds. A disappointing finish to an otherwise lovely day. Peace and quiet reigns in this beautiful location. Thanks to W&UF for providing the opportunity to fish on such a great river.

Really enjoyable day on this stretch with loads of water to explore and the barbel playing ball. Managed 10 fish in the end by wading out in the current touch ledgering. Met the owner who was a really pleasant chap and more than happy to spend a short while chatting. Many thanks.

Beautiful beat on Wye. First visit to this section of the river but not the last. I fished till 16:00. Fish not too keen on feeding but managed to catch 2 barbel & 4 chub. All fish to halibut pellet.
