River came up over a metre whilst we were there, hard conditions eventually found a couple of barbel in a slack, with the biggest going 9lb 2oz.

All barbel ranged from 4 to 7lb caught on feeder tactics, big surprise with the pike around 7lb,even though we had rain all day yesterday the water levels didn’t seem to move all day.

Just 6 degrees in the morning so cold start which seemed to put the fish off. Warmed up by lunchtime and the chub started feeding, mainly coming to luncheon meat. Disappointed not to catch any barbel but, once again, an enjoyable day.
