Had a look at Tregaron Angling water whilst on holiday . Plenty of "trouty" water but only had time for a couple of hours on the headwaters. Three trout on dries before squally rain came.
I'm certain that decent trout anglers would have plenty of fish - perhaps earlier in the year. Had a lot of fun exploring.
The stay at Pant- Teg B&B was Excellent.

4 small brown trout between 2 anglers fell to klinkhammer and greenwell's glory. A lovely evening's fishing with the temperature remaining warm until we finished at around 2030. The river was in very good condition.

All fish taken on weighted nymphs (mainly GRHE & pheasant tails). Largest 14", average 8-10". Conditions far from ideal!! Heavy rain, high winds with very strong gusts. First time on the water but guessing river 12" high judging by plant growth in the margins. Only saw handful of fish rising. Few mayfly hatching. Wet but enjoyable day.

2 brown trout on CDC emerger and small Pheasant tail Nymph fished New Zealand style. Lost another 3 but nothing of any great size. River in perfect condition with large beds of flowering ranunculus enhancing the beauty of the surroundings.
I parked next to the bridge at the lower end of beat 8 but would advise anglers to park at Pantyblawd Farm in the middle of the beat.

My first visit to a very beautiful river, running quite quickly and a bit peaty in colour. Four brown trout caught on barbless small Mepps and released, all about 12oz. Tried worm as well without success. Would have used fly if not so windy. Couldn't stay for evening/dark and still don't know if sewin or salmon have reached Tregaron waters yet.
Will come again. Thanks to the Foundation for your efforts.

I'd always associated the Teifi with sewin but the brown trout fishing on the Tregaron AA's waters is fantastic. I joined a friend who is a member of the club on Beat 8. A beautiful day with 4 trout around the 12inch size, all on hawthorn pattern and a similar number lost, including a very big fish. Generally well looked after water with good access, stiles etc. Chest waders are a must though. If you're staying in the area the Talbot Hotel in Tregaron is really nice or for self catering try www.banceithin.com - it's a worth a visit to this corner of Wales.
