Hot and still on Llyn Hir. There was as good hatch of hawthorn coming off but couldn't connect.

In fact we made a mistake and fished Llyn Egnant. We caught 2 brown trout with a combined weight of 1.3 lb on fly

Fish caught on wet flies and dries. Great sport to be had and plenty of fish around the 12inch mark.

Still a bit early, good scouting day.

A good day with a nice weather window. The daddies were blowing on to the water and black buzzers hatching too. Fish were all on black hoppers fished dry or twitched in the ripple. Fish were rising in patches during the day.
We all had an enjoyable time in the very scenic countryside up there.
Egnant is still difficult with mud around the margins in places but not impossible.

We both missed several knocks and only had one very beautifully conditioned brown on a Zulu but the most magical weekend.
