Another wonderful day on one of my favourite llyns. I stuck with the dries all day amongst the squally winds and showers. Most of the fish came blind, with some explosive takes. An excellent stamp of fish (largest 13-inches) – as ever, they fight well above their weight.

Never came off dries all day, daddy patterns. In the morning they wanted them pulled then early afternoon when the weather warmed up and there was an incredible damsel hatch they took dry. Then the sun came out, they were stuffed and that was that. Fantastic day on a wonderful llyn

This is my final day of my weeks fishing adventure, Llyn Berwyn looked spectacular today full sun a windy I've never see so many fish feeding and showing spectacular sight, I caught three really nice half pound brownies on very small gold bead hoppers, all went back to swim another day.
Thank you to Tregaron and Aberystwyth angling for my superb weeks fishing.

I had a lovely evening, rises could seen all round the Llyn, using dry flies I caught one and missed two good takes (I need to speed up when lifting in to a good fish!!!)

My first time fishing Berwyn. It's a beautiful spot, amazingly quiet – an ideal size and holds a good head of decent sized trout. All fish taken searching the margins with dries.

No fish caught bright sunny day kept fish down

Tough day on Berwyn - water still quite warm, despite the altitude. Muddlers and Woolly buggers proved to be the most effective flies. Fish from 10oz to just over 1lb.

Note: Chest waders are essential to fish this venue

Fished Teifi, Egnant and Hir. Beautiful surroundings, conditions weren't bad but only saw 2-3 fish and couldn't tempt any despite changes of flies and lines. A group of lads came and set up camp at Lake Hir while we were fishing.
