Superb conditions, 1 kelt on beat 2. Nothing seen other than that. Coarse fishing seems slow also perhaps the spawning is early this year?

Perfect water level, good fly water beats 2 and 5. No springers seen. One kelt from the boils where the waters meet below the island.

18lb cock fish taken by syndicate member on a rapala, beat 4. River in superb condition. Nothing seen. Bright sunshine. Fabulous spring fishing.

1 Salmon

H and S had a wonderful day on beats 2 and 3. No takes on the fly but on the next beat down a large salmon was caught on a spinner, photo taken and released. Thanks to Terry for making us so welcome. The girls in the WUF office gave us great advice and service, thank you all.

Nothing caught.

Conditions now perfect. Thursday, 1 kelt taken by Member on Beat 2. Several trout taken throughout the Estate. Water still very cold but clear. Expectations are high.

4 Trout, 1 Grayling, 1 Other

Cage feeder was the main tactic and baits included pellet, boilies, bread etc.
The river was well up which didn't help.
A nice section though. Would definitely consider when conditions are more favorable.

Couldn't get any pike interested in lures but picked up two jacks on dead-bait. Followed up late in the day with two nice chub over 5lbs.

2 Chub, 2 Pike

Not the best of days from a catching point of view but still well worth being there. We had a fantastic welcome from Terry including a great cup of tea and up to date info. We finished the day with just two 4lb chub that fell to one of our rods, a lovely venue and we'll definitely be back
