1'9" falling, clear.
Perfect height, and a few salmon showing throughout, but no joy!
As always these days-difficult/impossible to cover all the lies.
1X 1lb Brownie in superb condition.

11 Barbel between 6-9lb. 8 chub 3-4lb.

FISHED FROM AROUND 2pm UNTILL DUSK, MANAGED TO CATCH 6 CHUB & 4 BARBEL BETWEEN US ALL TAKEN ON PELLET, EVERY FISH IN SUPERB CONITION & COLOUR. CANOEISTs NO PROBLEM AT ALL, THANKS TO IAN & ALL AT WYE&USK FOR ANOTHER ENJOYABLE DAY ON THE WYE .

1 barbel and 1 chub.

We met Ian Boney's friend Mark at The Boat Inn who took us down to the beat. He didn't rate our chances as the river was the lowest he'd ever seen it. With neither of us having fished a river at all for well over 15 years, it's safe to say confidence was low.
We were very pleasantly surprised to catch 19 chub between us ranging between 2.5lb and 5lb in a six hour session. Pity we couldn't find an elusive barbel but we'll be back to try again for sure.

Fished from 2pm until dusk. River level as expected - very low with a bright sun & hot conditions. We both fished the pellet, JB managed 4 chub and 2 barbel while I managed 2 barbel and 5 chub. All canoeists were very good.

2 chub caught one off 2 and a half pounds and one of 3 and a half pounds, bailiff Ian very helpful, water was well down, very picturesque.

10 x chub 6-9lb. 3 x barbel 3-4lb

7 chub 2.5lb to 3.75lb, 1 barbel 4lb. A very enjoyable day bringing back fond memories of my youth. The chub were caught on luncheon meat and bread, and the barbel was taken on sweetcorn. A big thank you to Ian Boney for suggesting such a good swim. I shall be back!

Wading all day and ended with half a dozen chub, best 5-2, plus a barbel.
