2 Trout

river very low and clear you could see every stone on the river bed on beat 3 .i was able to see some great barbel and chub
but no salmon seen

No fishing done due to the presence of a herd of 50 or so bulls who followed us up river

No fishing done as too many bulls also taking an interest in our activities

4 Trout, 1 Chub

Started the season off with high water at Whitney Court, the beat and the river looked in fine fettle. Fished hard for a small Parr and 2x healthy Trout on the fly. Will be back very soon.

2 Trout

Very difficult day in testing conditions. A strong, gusty wind and a rising river proved challenging but a long search for fishable water we found enough to keep us occupied. The end result was three barbel with a best of just over seven, two decent chub around three pounds and one feisty eel. All fish came to multiple lobworm on straight leger rigs.

3 Barbel, 2 Chub, 1 Other

Did not fish due to extremely high levels. Hopefully it will drop enough over night for a go tomorrow.

Very high river. Nothing doing.
