River it was dropping and clearing really well, it takes the fly in most of the pools now. I fished hard but not springers seen.
Nice spring day to be out.

River looks good but no cigar, one sizeable trout around 2 pound apart. River a good colour and slowly dropping

Very high, coloured and fast as to be expected - but should have cancelled - but having booked and passing through, thought I’d give it a go! Perhaps give it another try in better conditions

Saw a window and went for it. Lower river still unfishable so choose a beat higher up. Spinning am on beat 3 and 4 and after lunch fly on 5 and 6. Nice to be out for the first time this year.

Water clarity was improved by the end of the day but still a lot of water pushing trough and it hold the level all day.

Another potential springer day on the Wye colour better than yesterday. Fished beats 1, 5 and 6 gave it a proper crack spinning slow and as low as you dare in the cold fcs rubber shad and devon from high bank beat 5. Got to know the beat but not her Salmon! Thanks to Terry and local rod for the advice, time to go home now sad face.

Hard going. Low clear river. Legered bread flake and feeder worked best

3 Chub

Slow second day with only two fish coming right on dark, which was kind of what I expected in the conditions. Nothing massive but a nice day mixing the chub and the pike.
