Enjoyable day although a tad hot limited spots due to conditions. My mate had his first barbel, and i had a first catching chub on free lined bread super sport. Beautiful spot more of the same today.

I thoroughly enjoyed my day on this beautiful stretch of the Wye. I had wanted to try to catch a salmon on the fly from the Wye whilst I was still fit enough, as I caught my first, a fresh run 29lber, from the Wye some 55 years ago. Unfortunately I chose a day when the water levels were very low as a result of a long period of dry weather.
I will be back to try again.
