A lovely stretch of water. Fished beats 3 and 4. Hooked one salmon but lost it around 10ft from getting it to hand. Lost count of the number of salmon that I did see jumping. Will definitely be returning.
When I arrived a working party was just about to start work on the river. Stayed well away from me and gave plenty of advice on the best fish holding spots.

Water a good height for us now with a little to much colour. No offers this morning but plenty of fish travelling through. Should be spot on by the weekend.

Water low and bright but with spells of rain. Filled with optimism went to beat 2 and caught a 28" salmon at 11 am on a small 1/2" conehead tube . Taken from the head of the pool below pump house pool. The fish had not been in the river long, it was bright and strong. Thank you .

Fished Beat 3 with fly, as per Terry Ward's advice, in the stretch which had produced his fish on Monday. A nice push of water with the odd fish apparently 'trickling through' in spite of the conditions, but I lacked his magic touch. Nil caught.

Quite a cold day with stiff wind. No fish seen but one other angler saw a fish show in the pool on Beat 4. Nice spot with lots of water. Some good bank clearance on right bank on beat 4 but a little deep in places when wading.
