A couple of fish showed but nothing caught. Lots of fish in the beat apparently and a nice water height but very bright sun and a strong NE wind on the day.... well that's the excuse we're using anyway! Terry was exceptionally helpful pointing us in the right direction and explaining the beats, and thanks to his wife for gathering up two lost members of the group, made for a really enjoyable day. Top fishery with great access.

8Lb cock fish, slightly coloured, from Beat 4 at 4:10pm on yellow & black tube. River very clear, 1'6" and dropping, sunny day.

First time at Whitney. Nice day fishing. After pike in the morning then barbel fishing in the evening

I fished beat 5, a truly stunning location on a huge bend in the river. Despite working hard all day I only managed one barbel and two chub but I think this was more to do with a rapidly rising river putting the fish off the feed until the light began to fade. The bailiff was helpful with recommendations and directions.

I had a lovely days fishing at Whitney court yesterday. My first time there and I was really well looked after by Terry Ward, a really nice chap who took the time to show me the six beats and give me the benefit of his knowledge of the fish holding areas and wading routes, thank you Terry.

A lovely stretch of the river with easy access but no fish on this occasion. Fished several spots with feeder and pellet.

The sudden change in the weather did not bring the fish on I'm afraid.

Feeder and halibut pellet in the faster water for the barbel. Nice beat in attractive setting.
