Saw lots of fish but conditions difficult with low water, very bright day with cold northerly wind.

Lovely beat, hot day, no rise and very little insect life. Nothing caught - must try harder!

River fining off, slightly coloured improved during day, all fish taken on dry fly, no fish taken.

Dry fly river level up. Mostly small fish with one of two pound last thing using a small adams.

River quite high and more coloured than on my last visit. No hatch to speak of and so few trout rising. Caught 3 WBT on PTN, all returned in good condition.

River slightly ip 8 inches. Fine sunny day, all trout caught on dry flies. No fish taken.

Dry fly good river conditions and weather five fish up to a pound and one at a pound and a half.

Trout all returned. Average size approx 1.5lb.

River very low water good hatch around lunch time. 4 fish within half hour on small black gnat, the other two taken on blue winged olive. All fish released in water.
Abercynrig is a pleasant stretch of water with good access and easy wading.
