Great afternoon fishing, we landed 12 byst lost at least another 6 fish. Great venue, however please be advised that there is lots of walking required to gain access all areas of the river.

Salmon clearly had other plans. Eventually switched to trout in the Boils stretch. One nice fish nearly 2 pounds. Plus a salmon parr. Lovely beat.

If any springers did get up here on the recent high water, they didn’t want any of the copper and brass tubes that I put in front of them .The trout were a bonus though, both quality fish of 15” and 16” that took a small Red Devil tube, both returned.

River fining down nicely now , not as cold and wet as forecast and a pleasant day .

Nice to get out and cast a line, lovely day, no salmon but that’s hardly a surprise on the 5th of March

The river was a little more coloured than I was hoping for after overnight rain. On went a squirmy worm which caught a Grayling and a OOS Trout at 13” each. A few other fish were on then off. Only a short session, due to the wading being tricky in the conditions.

Pleasant afternoon on the river but no sign of any fish. The strong downstream wind didn't help. During some gusts it was impossible to cast upstream. I was nymphing. Initially fished the pools, but struggled to keep the flies moving, so tried the rapids, but to no avail.

The water is full and flowing but very clear.
